Page 5 of 5 For her part, Case also has some favorite instruments. Although photos
printed on the Tigers CD insert show her with what appears to be a
Gibson SG bass, she reveals that it's actually a four-string tenor
guitar. "It says `Custom' on the factory tag," says Case. "It was made
for a fellow who played banjo and was integrating himself into a larger
band. I like it because I have small hands."
Case also sings the praises of her six-string Fender Jazzmaster. "I love the way it sounds. It's so much better than a Stratocaster. Strats always ruin everything. I want to keep them off my records! "So please come to our show," Case concludes. "We've got Visqueen from Seattle opening -- that's my friend Rachel Flotard's band, an ass-kicking rock band from days of yore." "Our Atlanta show is on the last Saturday night of the tour," observes Good, his voice brightening eagerly. "It's gonna be the best. There will be no holding back!" One thing's for sure. This concert is bound to provide all of these artists' Georgia-based fans with one big, happy occasion for wiggling their butts. Neko Case, the Sadies and Visqueen will raise the roof at the Variety Playhouse on Saturday, February 19th. |
