ImageToy Story 3 [G]: No, I didn't see it in 3-D! So I'm judging it solely on the basis of it being a Pixar storybook picture, not a dazzling 3-D experience. And I wasn't all that taken by the second movie, but with improved dialog-to-expression coordination and the secondary toys being moved to the forefront (especially the Potato Heads), this one is immediately my favorite. Andy heads to college, so he boxes up the toys to store in the attic when they are mistakenly donated to a daycare center where three-year-olds do their darndest to bang toys to pieces. Insightful and witty, full of references to the other two movies, new toys get introduced like that bug-eyed alien from the Major Matt Mason playset! I hope this series lasts forever because like the old Disney classics it appeals to both kids and parents with its message of how age changes the way old friends (i.e. toys) are received. About as perfect a picture as Pixar has ever made.
