Predators [R]: Before the movie starts, the idea has been around: survival against a superior opponent is the game. It's an idea developed by A.E. Van Vogt which was previously adapted in the '60s on both The Outer Limits and Star Trek. A variation on The Most Dangerous Game, where humans are hunted for sport, ex-Black Ops, serial killers and military trainees get hunted down by two species commonly referred to as "predators." People will tell you how terrible this one is, but watch it anyway for the opening sequence which is something akin to a James Bond opening, and for those little inside bits, like references to the original movie and an Alien skull in the killing field. That, and Adrien Brody in his most convincing role in quite some time. Personally, I find this movie to be the best of the lot.
